Wage: $28.00 to $34.00 / hour (based on experience; salary increases as per Company policy).

Duties:
Reporting to the Foreman the Pipelayer will be responsible for preparing and installing underground pipelines as required.
- Load, unload and transport construction materials,
- Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction,
- Level earth to fine grade specifications,
- Ensure blueprint specifications are followed,
- Use laser levels, grade rods, or transit levels to ensure correct configuration & alignment of pipes,
- Ensure the pipe is compliant with specifications with bedding, grade, and cover compaction,
- Ensure company policies are followed to mitigate any damage to both overhead/underground utilities, property, and equipment,
- Inspect places where pipes are fitted together to ensure pipes are spaced out properly and according to specifications,
- Ensure pipes are bedded and covered with appropriate dirt or other material,
- Mentor and guide helpers and new employees,
- Know, understand, and ensure compliance with safety regulations’
- Know and follow the company’s rules, policies, and procedures,

Duties:
Reporting to the Foreman the Excavator Operator will be responsible for preparing the ground for pipeline installation as required.
- Operate heavy equipment (excavator/hoe), including Hydraulic Excavator
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
- Secure special attachments to equipment
- Perform minor repairs to equipment
- Ensure the trench is excavated to the specific depth/grade,
- Place water, storm, and sanitary sewer pipe in the excavation
- Observe the condition of the equipment and materials used to ensure it meets the company’s standards
- Report any possible problems or defects
- Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and responsible manner
- Follow directions of the ground crew regarding craning, gravel placement, and grading
- Operate two-way ratios and other communication equipment
- Prepare accident reports
- Know, understand, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Ensure compliance with current ground disturbance regulations
- Know and follow the company’s rules, policies, and procedures
